West of Bathurst

Barbara has now clarified her position a bit, so I can reveal the winners of Contest #1...which I actually did on Wednesday. However, I did it a bit late, so some of you may have missed the revelation. To check the winners out, click on "Previous." I'm also keeping a running total of winners at the bottom of the comic's home page.

Contest #2 continues today. The rules are as follows:

July 1st was Canada Day. Hurrah for Canada. Name what you consider West of Bathurst's most Canadian attribute. One point will be awarded to the answer that is the most sensible and likely to be true; another will be awarded to what I consider the most creative answer.

Please post your answer (you get only one try) in the comments section; I have opened a new comments thread this week for this purpose. The contest ends at midnight EDT on Sunday, July 7th. This week's twist: you may not repeat what someone else has said before you. Posting early thus has certain benefits, though posting later does as well.

Panel 1: Marie and Barbara are in a restaurant.

Barbara: I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Casey's always implying vaugely mysterious things that never pan out.

Panel 2:

Marie: A) You've just spent weeks avoiding revealing this stuff you now claim doesn't mean anything.

Panel 3:

Marie: You've been telling me Casey is Satan since literally the first second we met.

Panel 4:

Barbara: I begin to see the appeal of the whole "shiny object" thing.

Marie: I bet you do.
